Ryan has been playing baseball for six years. He has made a lot of great memories including playing a game in snow, hitting a home run, and pitching a seven-inning winning game.

Ahana’s mother shares that Athletics4Kids has allowed her children to take part in both martial arts and soccer. Without this support, they would have to choose, and they love both of them. “It gave me such relief as I did not want to tell them they had to quit - thank you.”

“Not only is this a physical exercise that helps her with strength, balance, and flexibility, but also, mental health,” explains her mother. “Harnoor has this mental toughness, she's resilient and emotionally intelligent, which I am so proud of. Going to the classes every week, she's also strengthened some social skills and a feeling of belongingness in the community.”

Luca and Matei want to thank A4K for helping them learn how to swim, as it has kept them fit and strong. Their mother, Eliana, has noticed physical growth and an increase in strength in both the boys since starting lessons. She has also noticed their bigger appetite when they get out of the water!

For kids like Ayden, life would have been very different if he couldn’t participate in sports.

Navannah and Izabela’s mom, Anna, believes that A4K has given the girls an opportunity to try new sports, be healthy, make new friends, and have opportunities that they may not have had otherwise. With a grant each from A4K, they have both tried cheerleading for the first time, and are loving it!

Owen’s dad shared with us that "the Athletics4Kids grant program gave me the financial support to make sure my kids do not miss out on playing sports.” Owen has been playing hockey for eleven years now!

When COVID hit and Aryan’s mother lost her job, she worried she would have to pull him out of sports. But a Sport4Life Grant from Athletics4Kids has kept Aryan in the game and on the soccer pitch where he finds lots of joy working hard with his teammates.

Anora thinks rugby is so fun and her favourite part about the game is going to jamborees, seeing her friends and scoring trys! She is supported to pursue year-round sports through a grant from Athletics4Kids.

Seeing Jude excited about martial arts for over two years now, has made his mother extremely happy. She is in university and so money is tight, however Athletics4Kids helped her to maintain Jude’s practices without worrying about the fees involved.
