Events are such a huge part of what make the Athletics4Kids community so special. Whether it’s a fishing derby or a squash tournament, our annual gala or golf tournament, gathering our champions and supporters together is one of our favourite ways to connect.

2024 Sport4Life Gala
Welcome to the 2024 Athletics4Kids Sport4Life Gala event page!
The 21st Athletics4Kids Sport4Life Gala will be held on May 4th, 2024 at the Grand Villa Casino. This sell-out event is attended by over 390 business leaders, corporate sponsors, and like-minded philanthropists every year. Since 2002, the event has raised over $2.1 million to help give B.C. kids the opportunity to participate in amateur sports. The night kicks off with a signature cocktail reception as guests mingle and settle in. Guests have the opportunity to bid on unique silent auction items and enjoy the surrounding festivities. Dinner, live auction, and live Olympic rules amateur boxing follow!
Dress code: semi-formal / cocktail attire
$250 per ticket | $2500 per table of 10*
Ticket price includes a hosted cocktail reception, three three-course gourmet dinner accompanied with wine and live Olympic rules amateur boxing!

BMO Marathon
RUN & FUNDRAISE
RUN4HOPE, the charity program of the BMO Vancouver Marathon, aims to raise funds for social impact and community good, and foster a spirit of community celebration. The program provides value to charities and enables runners to fundraise and/or donate to meaningful causes. Organized by the local non-profit RUNVAN®, the RUN4HOPE Charity program has helped runners raise over $16 million combined for charity.
Run this May 5th at the BM0 Marathon and raise funds for Athletics4Kids, a RUN4HOPE charity of the 2024 BMO Marathon.

A4K's 10th Annual Charity Golf Invitational
Athletics4kids is excited to announce our 10th annual Charity Golf Invitational to be held Monday, July 29th, 2023 at the beautiful Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey, B.C. Over the past 10 years our event has raised over $685,000 for A4K and has helped put over 3,000 kids in sports.
Battle of the Brews
This event is a fun day of music, beer sampling, food, raffles, and much more! A huge thank you to 937 Jr Country and the Surrey Firefighters for putting this fun event together again this year for Athletics4Kids.
Craig Knapton Community Spirit Award
On the anniversary date of A4K, August 28th, we will be giving away our Annual Craig Knapton Community Spirit Award of 2023.
This is an award of $500 that we give away to an A4K-funded athlete every year on August 28th, who is finishing high school in 2024 and pursuing third-level education. Please read and complete the attached application form along with providing all necessary assisting documents, if your athlete is eligible. Applications must be submitted by July 15th, 2024.
Salmon Fishing Derby
Special thank you to the DNV Firefighters, High Water Tackle, Noble Crane, and all of the event sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who make this day so fun year after year.
This day consists of the morning and afternoon out on the water fishing, amazing prizes, snacks, delicious BBQ food, music, and lots of fun!
2024 Match Campaign - Double the Scoreboard
A4K’s Annual Match Campaign will be held this year from November 4th to December 31st.
Give during this time to have your donation DOUBLED and help twice as many kids access the sports that they love.

Double the Scoreboard
Double the Scoreboard is our annual matching campaign that runs from now until the end of the year.
Our goal this year is to raise $92,000 together to help get hundreds of kids into sports.

invite your friends, family and colleagues to give.
You can do this as an individual, or you can do it as a group with your sports club,
class, neighbourhood or company.

DNV Fishing Derby
Welcome to our silent auction!
Over the past 11 years the DNV Fire Fighters have raised over $300,000 and has helped put hundereds of kids into sports!
All proceeds benefit Athletics For Kids and the Seymour Salmonid Society.
**Please note an administration fee of 3.724% will be added to winning bids.**
All across BC, hundreds of children and youth are denied the opportunity to participate in amateur sports due to one simple fact: lack of funds. As a privately funded charity, Athletics For Kids is able to get dollars into the hands of those who need it most, quickly and effectively.
5th Annual Battle of the Brews
The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society and 93.7 JR Country are hosting the 5th Annual Battle of the Brews on Saturday August 19 at Surrey City Hall Plaza from 1-5pm (doors open at 12:30). This fun charity event will offer attendees a great afternoon of craft beer tasting and food trucks while listening to 93.7 JR Country. Attendees will get the chance to help choose their favourite beers and all proceeds from the event will help fund Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society youth initiatives.
- Admission ticket includes ALL your beer samples and a souvenir tasting mug! No annoying beer tokens needed.
- Empty resalable water bottles are encouraged. There is a free water refill station on site.
- Food trucks are extra, but there will be light complimentary snacks available.
- There will be a 50/50 draw, raffle and donations accepted on site by card or cash.
Charity Golf Invitational
Welcome to the 2023 Athletics For Kids Charity Golf Invitational.
Athletics4kids is excited to announce our ninth annual Charity Golf Invitational to be held Monday, July 24th, 2023 at the beautiful Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey, B.C. Over the past 9 years our event has raised over $595,000 for A4K and has helped put over 2,900 kids in sports.
We invite you to join us for a day of golf, food and fun! The day will feature a round of golf, lunch, snacks, prizes, exciting on-course activities and much more!

The 20th Athletics4Kids Annual Gala will be held on May 13, 2023 at the Grand Villa Casino. This sell-out event brings together over 390 business leaders, corporate sponsors, and like-minded philanthropists every year. Since 2002, the event has raised over $1.85 million to help give B.C kids the opportunity to participate in amateur sports.
The night kicks off with a signature cocktail reception as guests mingle and settle in. Guests have the opportunity to bid on unique silent auction items and enjoy the surrounding festivities. Dinner, a live auction and Olympic rules amateur boxing provide lively entertainment for the evening. The night culminates with the grand prize raffle draw, leaving guests with a memorable experience.
