What Is the Craig Knapton Legacy Fund?

The Craig Knapton Legacy Fund was created to celebrate the life and leadership of Craig Knapton — founder, past president, and the heart behind A4K’s mission to help kids access sport. For over two decades, Craig’s passion and generosity made it possible for more than 14,500 children across British Columbia to receive Sport4Life Grants, changing countless lives through the power of play.

After Craig’s sudden passing in August 2024, A4K established this Legacy Fund to carry his mission forward. Its purpose is simple but profound: to remove financial barriers so every child can experience the confidence, teamwork, and joy that sport provides. The fund will create a lasting stream of investment income, ensuring that thousands more BC kids can stay active and included for generations to come.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, we’ve already raised more than $100,000 toward our seed round—bringing us within reach of our $150,000+ goal to help fund future Sport4Life Grants for kids across BC.

Craig’s legacy lives on in every child who gains the confidence, friendships, and opportunities that sport makes possible. The Craig Knapton Legacy Fund ensures that his spirit of generosity continues to open doors for young athletes across B.C. — today, and for generations to come.
