A4K Charity Golf Invitational Recap

On August 8th the 3rd annual A4K Charity Golf Invitational took place, under sunny skies and balmy breezes (quite the relief after thunder showers had been forecast!) at the beautiful Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond, This year, for the first time ever, we were joined by some a4k kids who got to chat with the golfers and share their stories about basketball, soccer, sprinting, javelin, hockey and martial arts, and what sports means to them!  Due to the hard work of organizers  Scott Trotter, Mary Quinn and the crew at Staub Electronics the participants were treated to a great BBQ lunch, a fun day on the links full of activities and challenges and a delicious reception post-golf.  Some fantastic prizes were awarded for everything from longest drive, to best bean bag tosser!! The event raised almost $53,000 net, which puts over 250 kids into sports programs…wow!!!  Many thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, Directors, golfing participants (some who came from across the continent), and Quilchena staff members and huge thanks to Scott and his amazing team.

Thank you to all the following sponsors:
