5 Summer Activities to Enjoy!

With summer in full swing, you might be looking for new ways to get exercise, while still enjoying the outdoors! Rather than another weekend passing you by, check out the resources below to find new ways to explore your city and stay active!

1. Free Public Swimming in Surrey!

Throughout the rest of August, head over to any public pool in Surrey for free swimming! Swimming is a great way to stay active (and cool!) during the heat this summer. Need a refresher on your skills? No problem! The pools will also be offering lessons starting on August 29th. Head over to their website HERE for more information.

 

2. Beach Volleyball

Craving some beach time, but still craving some activity? Check out one of the many beach volleyball courts located within Vancouver! All are free to try and first-come, first-serve. Check out the Vancouver Parks and Recreation site HERE to find the closest court to you!

 

3. GeoCaching

Want a reason to explore your city, but bored of just walking? Try out GeoCaching! This giant treasure hunt has over 4,000 caches in Vancouver waiting for you to find. What a great way to stay active, and be rewarded for it! Check out their website HERE to get started.

 

4. Granville Island Water Park

5. Kids Bowl for Free!

At over 15 participating bowling lanes throughout BC (and hundreds throughout North America), kids can receive 2 free games of bowling every day this summer!
