Annual A4K Fundraising Gala
Vegas Night, Baby!
In 2012, Athletics for Kids is celebrating 10 years of making sporting dreams come true for children and youth in British Columbia by hosting their 10th Annual A4K Fundraising Gala, presented by Coast Capital Savings. This event has raised over $500,000 in its history and has contributed to the funding of over 1,500 sporting activities for children and youth who otherwise would have been left watching from the sidelines.
When: Friday March 30, 2012, 6pm–11pm
Where: Hollyburn Country Club, West Vancouver
This year’s theme is Vegas Night, Baby!, where guests will be treated to a Las Vegas-like experience including all of the glitz and glam that one would find on the Strip. The evening will include:
- A complimentary cocktail reception during which guests will have the opportunity to test their luck at various gaming stations with great prizes to be won
- A gourmet three course dinner with complimentary wine served at every table
- Extravagant silent and live auctions
- Live amateur boxing featuring talented athletes from local boxing clubs
- The A4K Westjet Dream Getaway Raffle and more prizes to be won!

- A4K is proud to present Barry MacDonald from the Team1040 Afternoon show as the Emcee of Vegas Night, Baby!
- Also, our guests will again feel goosebumps as Mark Donnelly, from Vancouver Canucks fame, will be singing “O Canada” in the centre ring!
- All guests to the Gala will be treated to valet parking courtesy of Vancouver Valet (by donation to A4K). They will be stationed in the turn around area near the Hollyburn front entrance.
